OmegaT - Implementation and Limitations
Sabine Cretella, Open Progress, Translator and Evangelist
Translating with OmegaT can cover a high percentage of a translator's everyday translation work. With its future connection to WiktionaryZ it will become more relevant. Being it a Java tool it works with many different Operating Systems, but at the same time, being it a Java tool that relies on the ISO 639 standard implemented by Java it has its limitations. Of course the tool is connected to various standards, but which of them are already in use and up to which level? Where are the problems? Some examples on where it is actually used (if time allows for that).
