Ziad Chama, Freelance Translation Technology Consultant, SDL/Trados, Germany

Ziad Chama (born 15 April 1971 in Beirut, Lebanon) holds a translator's/interpreter's degree from the Munich Institute of Languages. He speaks German, English, French, Italian, and Arabic. He worked as a freelance translator and Trados technology consultant from 1996 to 1999. In 2000 he joined Trados as product manager of the company's software development kits and format filters, and developed various components of the Trados solution. When SDL and Trados merged in 2005 he continued in his position as product manager and took over the role of inhouse technology evangelist. Ziad Chama has been working as a freelance translation technology consultant since October 2006.
