Bettina Reichart, Senior Manager, Vendor & Language Solutions, Oracle Corp (WPTG), Germany
In most companies either speed or quality or cost are a given. There is usually some bandwidth in the less business critical areas, the perfect balance is rarely achieved over a longer period of time. Some tasks that need to be carried out during a translation project are givens as well and cannot be done faster or cheaper or better without an impact on the complete project deliverables. Automation already delivered huge gains on speed and quality - file handling, re-use of existing translations, integrity checking are used in most projects. Which standards can be used to move automation further?
