Gerhard Budin, Professor, University of Vienna, Center for Translation Studies, Austria

Gerhard Budin is a full professor of terminology studies and translation technologies at the Center for Translation Studies of the University of Vienna. As Chair of ISO/TC 37/Sub-Committee 2 "Terminography and Lexicography" he is active in developing and promoting standards in the fields of cultural diverstiy management, language coding, translation quality, terminography and lexicography, etc. He is also active in the LIRICS project (Linguistic Infrastructure for Interoperable Resources and Systems).
