Standards as Databases
Gerhard will report on ongoing work at ISO on the concept of "standards as databases" that envisions this urgently needed flexibility and more direct applicability of standards in real world user contexts. Seen from this perspective language standards-related ISO activities would become much more user oriented and directly applicable (as templates, xml schemas, UML models, whatever). It would be an opportunity to (critically) evaluate existing standards and ongoing standards projects in order to re-direct them or present them in novel forms
